It's a great feeling when you finally start catching the ladies' eyes, when you've mastered the technique of chatting a woman up and walking away with her phone number. You've become more confident and your style of getting a woman's attention has become effortless. Some ladies even start coming up to talk to you before you go to them! But that's only the first step, the one which gets you past every woman's Loser-Or-Not Test. If you want to take that attraction to the next level and make it from the public venue to the private one, there's a whole other technique you need to master: the art of keeping a woman's attention.
The best way to get a woman's attention is to be both arrogant and funny at the same time but neither to an extreme. ‘Arrogant' is a word which means prideful and self-centered. Someone who employs just enough arrogance to be healthy is one who is proud of himself and his achievements, confident, and focused on his own goals. The world is about him … but it can be about his lady too. ‘Funny' is literally that, amusing and not overly serious. Someone who is funny can laugh at his own stupid moments and poke a bit of fun at the stupidity of the world. A man doesn't have to be a comedian to be funny; he just has to sharpen his wit.
Going along with this idea, keeping a woman's attention lies in capturing her imagination and stimulating her emotions by leading the conversation you've drawn her into. It takes practice, but once you catch on, you're set for life. Because most people in the world are designed
to follow others, everyone responds well to a good leader, and a leader knows when to draw a conversation out and when to change direction. He's constantly gauging the reactions of his conversational companion so he knows when and where to guide her. If you can keep her emotionally engaged by encouraging her to express her own unique views and values, you'll have much greater success in your quest for her one-on-one attention.
You hear it all the time: nice guys finish last, and the bad boys get all the girls. It's not exactly true. Neither extreme gets much action. Success lies in the balance of both archetypes. Like the nice guy, you need to focus on gauging a woman's reaction – without trying to conform to it. Like the bad boy, you need to be cocky – without forgetting that the other person has feelings that you need to pay attention to. If you are being too nice, you won't get very far. If you're being too bad, you'll get slapped more often, or worse, you'll end up with draining, emotionally unhealthy women.
So, how do you find the balance, and where do you get your conversational ammunition? Well, the balance will be found in your own unique style, which is why this technique requires practice. But you can find a wealth of stuff to talk about in the news, special interests, bestselling books, new music, cultural events and other local happenings. Make it your business to know what's going on in the world, and be interested in your lady's thoughts on them! If a woman knows that a man is genuinely interested in what she thinks, she will trust him. That trust will put you in a different league: the real men, as opposed to the smart losers.
